Production and Exporting

Compliance – Maintaining the Reputation

Wine Australia’s regulatory activities are aimed at preserving Australia’s internationally recognised reputation for quality and integrity. Activities include licensing exporters, issuing permits for Australian wine exports and running a label integrity program to prevent false or misleading labelling.

Wine Australia protects the integrity of Australia’s wine producing areas, maintains the Register of Protected Geographical Indications and Other Terms and supports the Geographical Indications Committee – a statutory committee established to define the grape producing regions of Australia.

Trade – Better market access

Wine Australia works with the wine sector to address international market access issues, reduce trade barriers and understand the regulatory requirements in key markets.

If you're a wine producer who pays the Wine Grapes Levy or an exporter who pays the Wine Export Charge, you have access to a range of benefits and Wine Australia services. Make sure you're signed up for full website access and other benefits.
