Annual Trade Tasting

Wine Australia’s annual trade tasting provided the opportunity to discover more than 750 World Class Australian wines across the trading floor and showcased a selection of trophy and gold medal winning wines from 2009 international wine competitions. In addition, an adapted Advanced Wine Assessment Course presented by the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) provided 30 guests with the opportunity to benchmark their tasting abilities. Wine tasting seminars on the Barossa Old Vine Charter and Australia’s New Alternative Varietals were complemented by a review of fifty internationally sourced Chardonnays to highlight the stylistic evolution of this most beloved variety.
