The 2019 San Francisco Winter Trade Tasting – now in its 7th year – promises to be truly remarkable.
Not only will this event launch the biggest program of activities we’ve ever undertaken in the USA, culminating in Aussie Wine Month in September, but we have put together a pioneering new format.
Research has shown that USA trade are continually interested in the topic of regionality, therefore we have restructured the usual trade tasting into a regional wine tour through Australia. The event will kick off with an educational seminar hosted by Mark Davidson, featuring a carefully curated selection of Australian Grenache. The VIP trade and media invited to the seminar will be seated at round tables to promote discussion and participation while exploring regional expressions of this unique grape variety.The seminar will be followed by a trade tasting where attendees will be guided through the different regions of Australia. Attendees will receive additional regional education from Wine Australia staff located at each regional table.
