Can you tell your Semillon from your Sauvignon Blanc or pick which Shiraz is from the Barossa?
Wine Australia’s Tasting Blind Club gives you the chance to do just that. As well as testing your blind tasting skills, you are also in with the chance to win a trip to Australia.
Held monthly, each session showcases a range of 12–20 wines. The wines are divided into flights, themed by region or variety, and served blind. At the end of the tasting, participants can answer a list of questions, with the season’s most successful taster winning a trip to Australia.
This drop-in, free-pour blind tasting is perfect for wine students preparing for their WSET Diploma, MW or Court of Master Sommeliers exams, but of course anyone from the trade looking to brush up their tasting skills is very welcome.
Cost: Free to attend, drinks trade and media only, by invitation
