After an absence of more than 10 years, Vinexpo returns to New York City in 2018. Organisers are expecting 3,000 trade and media to attend the event on 5 and 6 March at the Jacob K. Javits Center.

Vinexpo New York is a two-day wine trade fair featuring more than 400 wine producers. Each day, Vinexpo will offer masterclasses, panel discussions and industry networking spaces for attendees.

Over 30 Australian wineries from 20 regions will be showcasing their exceptional wine at Wine Australia's two pavilions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • discover new varieties and styles, meet the people behind the wines and learn about current trends,
  • taste dozens of Australian wines from all over the country that have been rated 90 points or higher by Wine Spectator at the dedicated Tasting Bar, and
  • participate in one of two masterclasses that feature some of the most exciting traditional and emerging wines, producers and regions.

Explore the history and evolution of Australian wine

Ahead of Vinexpo New York 2018, Chef Eric Ripert from Le Bernadin, sommelier Joo Lee from Eleven Madison Park and Momofuku's Richard Hargreave share what excites them about Australian wine.

New initiatives – $50m Export and Regional Wine Support Package

With the support of the $50m Package, Wine Australia has been able to invest $350,000 in Vinexpo New York which, together with the $60,000 sector contribution, will enable a strong Australian wine presence at the trade fair. Activities will include an Australian Pavilion to support winery and importer engagement, master classes, peripheral events and education programs that engage consumers and key trade and raise the profile of Australian wine. More information will be published as it becomes available.

The $360,000 investment forms part of approximately $3.7 million that Wine Australia is investing in the USA market in 2017–18 to engage and motivate the wine trade to support the Australian fine wine category.
