Master classes on Australian aged wines and Barossa wines presented in February were warmly welcomed by attendees, including influential opinion leaders in China wine industry

Some of Australia’s finest wines showed off their remarkable ageing ability in a series of master classes held in Beijing. The master class was presented by Fongyee Walker, the only Master of Wine in Chinese mainland. Wine Australia also partnered with Barossa Grape and Wine Association on a second master class on the theme ‘Barossa Rare and Distinguished’, showcasing excellent wines from the 2017 Barossa Wine Chapters Auction in April in Barossa.

The theme of the master class is ‘Barossa Rare and Distinguished’, showcasing excellent wines from the 2017 Barossa Wine Chapters Auction in April in Barossa. The master classes intend to showcase some of the best Barossa wines to China industry insiders, in the hope that Chinese consumers will continue to be offered even more choices of high quality and diversity when they purchase Barossa wine.

Wine Australia will invite 100 guests to attend the master class, including wine media, educators, key opinion leaders, food service professionals, sommeliers, retail buyers, and a small portion of importers and distributors.
