For inland winegrape growers planning diversification to work with service providers
The I-GRO Grower Workbook is part of the I-GRO Diversification Guide. Inland winegrape growers in the Murray Valley, Riverina and Riverland can complete this Workbook alongside their trusted service providers who are using the I-GRO Discussion Tool to identify, analyse and inform decisions about diversifying their farm businesses.
The Workbook contains templates and checklists that growers can complete with their service provider to produce a Farm Diversification Plan.
Growers can use the Workbook as it best suits their current situation – some may start at the beginning and work through all the modules, while others will be guided by their service provider to the Workbook sections most useful for their situation and thinking.
Ideally, growers will move back and forth between all the parts of the Workbook, as they develop clarity and check their assumptions and aspirations.
The structure of this workbook's guided by the core components and cycle of farm diversification

The Grower Workbook is structured in the following modules which align to the Discussion Tool:
- My Future: Clarifies goals and priorities
- My Situation: Maps farm assets and constraints
- My Options: Identifies and tests options
- My Plan: Selects preferred option(s) and builds a practical Farm Diversification Plan
- My Final Check: Refines plan and next steps.

IMPORTANT: How to use the I-GRO Grower Workbook
The I-GRO Grower Workbook was developed for inland winegrape growers to complete alongside a trusted service provider using the I-GRO Discussion Tool.
Trusted service providers like agronomists, accountants and financial counsellors, grower groups and mental health services, can support growers in decisions to change farming practices.
Decisions to diversify a farm business need to be made carefully and over time. It is likely that service providers and winegrape growers will have ongoing discussions over 4-6 months to identify and plan their diversification strategy.

The materials were developed by RM Consulting Group (RMCG) based on consultation with inland region winegrowing industry associations, winegrape growers, service providers and other stakeholders.
