Wine Australia opens 2025 Stakeholder Survey to strengthen sector support and services

02 Jun 2025

The Australian grape and wine sector is being invited to take part in Wine Australia’s annual customer engagement stakeholder survey between 2—30 June, to help enhance the services and programs it delivers to empower the success of Australia’s grape and wine businesses.

The survey is a direct opportunity for grape growers, wine producers, exporters, government and industry partners to provide feedback on how Wine Australia is performing across its key functions of research and innovation, market development and regulatory services, as well as market insights and customer engagement.

Dr Martin Cole, CEO of Wine Australia said the organisation is committed to putting levy payers at the centre of its planning and decision-making.

“This survey is a really important opportunity for us to hear from the people who fund our work and ensure we’re delivering value where it matters most,” Dr Cole said.

“It’s a direct channel for grapegrowers, winemakers, exporters and industry partners to tell us what’s working, where we need to do better, and how we can deliver greater impact.”

Levy payers and Wine Australia subscribers will receive a survey link via email from Wine Australia’s independent research partner, Intuitive Solutions. The survey can also be completed via the link below, and only needs to be completed once.

The survey is open to all those working in the Australian grape and wine community and takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete. It’s completely confidential, allowing for open and honest feedback.

Feedback from the sector has already led to tangible changes, including the priorities of the One Grape & Wine Sector Plan, which will underpin the Wine Australia Strategic Plan 2025—30. This has included the National Vineyard Register Framework currently in development, enhanced consumer insights through the Consumer Insights Advisory Group and a domestic marketing campaign to be rolled out nationally in August.

“Listening to our customers is not a one-off exercise; it’s a core part of how we work,” Dr Cole said.

“We’re encouraging everyone in the sector to take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your feedback helps us ensure we’re working on the right priorities to support a more profitable, sustainable and resilient grape and wine sector.”

The survey is open until 30 June 2025, and results will be shared with the sector later this year.
