Wine Sector Survey to reveal vintage 2016

29 Apr 2016

Wine Australia has commenced the Wine Sector Survey 2016 that will gather key pricing and crush data to form an accurate picture of this year’s vintage across Australia.

The Wine Sector Survey was this week delivered to wine businesses nationally and – like the Wine Sector Survey 2015 – combines four previously separate surveys to streamline data collection, which will help save time and reduce paperwork for grape and wine businesses.

Wine Australia Chief Executive Officer Andreas Clark said the Wine Sector Survey is an important annual collection used to determine the national and regional vintage crush and pricing figures.

‘The Wine Sector Survey provides the robust data that we need to calculate accurate production figures by region and variety and I encourage all wine businesses involved in this year’s crush to participate.

‘The survey is one of the many ways that Wine Australia collects and reports accurate and meaningful data to for the Australian grape and wine community to see its performance and guide decision making.’
