Collecting and disseminating information regarding agrochemicals registered for use and maximum residue limits in Australian viticulture

Summary

Objective

To provide information that will assist production of wine-grapes within the residue limits set by Australia’s export markets.

Background

Since 1993, the Australian Wine Research Institute has provided regulatory and technical advice on agrochemicals and maximum residue limits (MRLs) to grape and wine producers.

Research approach

To research, collect and disseminate up-to-date information on agrochemicals through Agrochemicals registered for use in Australian viticulture (the Dog Book), associated databases, apps and publications to allow producers to make informed decisions about agrochemical use.

Sector benefits

This project helps the wine sector avoid potential barriers to trade and it promotes the responsible use of agrochemicals.
