Australian industry bodies
This national association represents Australian grape and wine producers, offering leadership, strategy, advocacy and support to ensure the industry's sustainability and growth. AGW plays an important advocacy role for gender equity initiatives and efforts across the Australian wine sector through the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion in Wine (DEIW) Committee.
The role of the DEIW Committee is to advocate for gender equity, drive uptake of the Australian wine sector’s Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Charter and advise the sector’s Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) strategic plan regarding issues pertaining to DEIW.
As the Australian Government's statutory authority, Wine Australia focuses on research, innovation, and market development to enhance the global competitiveness of Australian wine. Their role with respect to gender equity is identifying research gaps, funding research, and implementing extension and adoption campaigns to drive uptake of the toolkit.
