More than 2,000 of China’s wine buyers, trade, media and consumers visited the Wine Australia China Roadshow, which comes to an end this month. We are very happy that we observed strong curiosity and a growing understanding towards Australian wine in the China market.
Most of the 50-plus exhibitors have discovered potential business leads during the Roadshow, the biggest-ever tasting event of all time since we first organised the Roadshow in 2012.
This exciting Roadshow visited four cities from 12 – 19 May: Fuzhou, Chongqing, Zhengzhou and Beijing. More than 400 Australian wines from over 75 wine brands across nearly 30 wine regions were beautifully showcased to the industry insiders and consumers in the China market.
Educational classes including master classes delivered by James Halliday and Wine Australia's certified educators were also highly welcomed by attendees. We also partnered with Wine Victoria and PIRSA during the Roadshow, who respectively delivering a master class on wines from Victoria, and wines and lifestyle of the South Australia to the China market.
