“The itinerary regarding wine and producers was very thorough and interesting so I didn't want to miss any of the visits. Which is rare…”
“I think the diversity is the most exciting element of Australian wines. This trip will certainly help me to talk and write about Australian wines with deeper understanding and personal interest."
“Elegance is the new hallmark of Australian wines."
“There is so much diversity and innovation. I would definitely recommend for others to visit and experience themselves.”
Wine Australia hosts more than 130 visitors each year as part of its international and domestic visits program. The comprehensive program offers tailored visitor experiences for groups and individuals working in high profile positions in the wine trade and media industry, as well as key opinion leaders.
The visits provide an invaluable opportunity for participants to immerse themselves first hand in Australia's thrilling wine regions and to discover the diversity of fine wine Australia produces.
How are visitors selected?
Wine Australia works closely with key market contacts including importers, distributors and retailers to identify influential wine trade, media and educators to invite to Australia. Selection is determined by the potential commercial outcome of a visit and the visitor's ability to influence perceptions of Australian wine through new listings, media coverage and education.
We work closely with visitors to identify what they're excited by and passionate about and the regions, varieties, wine styles and brands that interest them. Wine Australia partners with state and regional associations, tourism and trade organisations to develop tailored itineraries that deliver exciting and memorable experiences.
How can I get involved
For more information on the Wine Australia visits program, please send us an email using the ‘contact us’ button on the right-hand side of this page.
Wine Australia's visits program is supported by the Australian Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package, which aims to grow Australia's wine exports and attract more international tourists to our wine regions.
In light of COVID-19 and the current uncertainty around travel at this time we have postponed all remaining visits to next financial year.
