A selection of premium Australian wines were beautifully showcased at an Aged Wine Master Class in Shanghai to illustrate the aging ability of Australian wine.
More than 70 people attended the master class hosted by Wine Australia and all the guests acknowledged that the event successfully demonstrated how Australian wine can age.
The event was presented by Fongyee Walker, the only Master of Wine in China mainland and showcased 12 Australian wines to the trade audience. Each variety was presented with one new and one aged sample which was at least 10 years old, to show the aging ability of the Australian wine.
Guests at the event included wine media, educators, key opinion leaders, food service professionals, sommeliers, retail buyers and a small portion of importers and distributors.
