Wine Australia and New Zealand Winegrowers are delighted to be teaming up once again in an exclusive virtual collaboration showcasing the unique qualities of our Pinot Noir.

Join Masters of Wine Anne Krebiehl and Peter McCombie for a fascinating discussion of eight regional styles from across our respective countries.

Known as the heartbreak grape due to its notoriously fickle and hard to grow nature, Pinot Noir thrives in Australia and New Zealand, with winemakers crafting unique cool climate expressions.

Take a trip through Australia’s Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley, Adelaide Hills and Tasmania and New Zealand’s Martinborough, North Canterbury, Marlborough, and Central Otago.

Find out how Pinot Noir has found success down under. Explore the cooling influence of the ocean and altitude, as well as the diversity and impact of soils, climate and winemaking. Offering freshness, beauty and exceptional value, discover why Pinot Noir from these regions shines on the international stage.

Anne and Peter will also share their insights and reveal what’s special for them about Antipodean Pinot Noir.

Wines that will be discussed:

  • Giant Steps Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2021
  • Waipara West Waipara Valley Pinot Noir 2018
  • Ashton Hills Piccadilly Valley Pinot Noir 2021
  • Palliser Estate Martinborough Pinot Noir 2020
