Wine Australia is taking our education program, Australian Wine Discovered (AWD), on the road to Charleston, Tampa and Austin this September.
AWD on the Road
These activities are part of our ongoing strategy to engage with trade in secondary markets, deliver education and support discovery of the quality and diversity of Australian wines available today in the US.
In each city, Mark Davidson will lead a seminar, Style Shifts: Australia’s Varietal Evolution, focused on how Australian winemakers are adapting to a changing environment and global marketplace, experimenting with emerging varieties and evolving wine styles to shape Australian wine’s sustainable future.
Following the seminar, there will be a self-pour tasting of wines that further illustrate the evolving styles shaping the future of Australian wine. If you would like to have wines featured in the self-pour tasting, please see further details below.
Costs and criteria
The cost per SKU is $150 AUD, plus samples and shipping.
- We are looking for Mediterranean varieties including Fiano, Vermentino, Nero d’Avola, and also heritage varieties being produced in a lighter, fresher style
- Wines with a retail value of $20 USD or higher
- We will require 2 bottles of each wine to be shipped / delivered to the venue in each city. Wineries / importers are responsible for the shipping or delivery costs.
- Current distribution in each market is required – this is not a new-to-market opportunity
- Final selections will be confirmed by 15 June 2026
- If you’re interested in having your wines featured, please complete the form below by 1 June 2026.
Dates and locations for each city are to be confirmed. Wine Australia will manage both the seminar and self-pour tasting so there is no expectation for wineries or importers to attend. However, we encourage wineries to consider traveling over for our 2027 North America Roadshow, which will visit Montreal, Toronto, Washington DC and Houston in May 2027.
