The Australian wine sector will visit the USA in September 2019 for the inaugural Aussie Wine Month.
The campaign will bring a large contingent of Australian wineries across the globe for the largest Australian wine promotion ever held in the USA.
Supported by the Australian Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package (the $50m Package), Aussie Wine Month will feature a six-city roadshow held over two weeks, comprising of trade and consumers tastings, educational seminars and importer/distributor networking opportunities. The cities will include New York City, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
New York will also be home to an Australian wine hub that will bring premium and modern Australian wine to life in a series of multi-sensory experiences for trade, media and consumers.
The month-long celebrations will culminate in early October with the second edition of Australia Decanted, Wine Australia’s flagship US activity, which hosted 100 influential trade at a four-day immersive wine symposium in Lake Tahoe, California in July 2018.
Media investment across print, digital and social platforms will commence leading up to Aussie Wine Month to increase awareness and excitement for the program of activities.
Wine Australia is also working with key retailers across the USA to secure in-store promotions throughout Aussie Wine Month. Details on these initiatives will emerge in the coming months.
