Wine Australia returns to Amsterdam with our largest-ever promotion of Australian wine in The Netherlands.

Australia began making wine over two centuries ago. It’s a country rich in old vines, multi-generational winemaking families and an ingrained knowledge and respect of the craft. Add to that a yearning to innovate, a fearless attitude and a diverse patchwork of 65 wine regions and more than 100 grape varieties, and you have the makings of an extraordinary wine country like no other.

Following the success of the master class and free pour tasting held in Amsterdam over the last three years, it’s time to expand the event to showcase a wider range of wines available in the market.

The event will give trade and media the opportunity to discover new wines, meet producers and importers, and explore Wine Australia’s new education programme. Comprising a trade tasting and two seminars, the programme will feature a diverse range of 200 wines from Australian wineries in market and local distributors.

The tasting will showcase Australia’s premium wines and highlight styles that will challenge your perceptions of Australian wine. From the revered classics and regional heroes to alternative grape varieties and new styles, guests will taste Australian wines that are far from ordinary.

Educators, importers and retailers are invited to explore Wine Australia’s free, new educational programme. Launched in 2019, Australian Wine Discovered offers more than 200 downloadable resources including educator guides, editable presentations, videos, tasting mats and maps.
