Our Winter Trade Tasting in Toronto is Wine Australia's largest annual forum for exhibitors to reach top trade and media in Ontario.
Running off of the success of 2018, we have a larger Toronto hot-spot, lined up for the day. Wine Australia will handle all aspects of event management and provide all event equipment including signage, glassware, spittoons, ice, etc. Participation is open to all suppliers, Canadian agents and Australian wineries with Australian brands currently in market.
Exhibitor registration
Expressions of interest for this event opened the week of 19 November 2018 and closed on 14 December 2018. The event was promoted to Australian wine businesses via direct email from the Canada team. For more information please contact annie.dingwall@wineaustralia.com
Special conditions and cost
- Wineries must have representation in Ontario.
- Exhibitors will need to submit wines per table: US$500.00 per table, maximum 8 SKUs.
- 2 bottles per SKU required.

What happens after registration?
After registering, a confirmation email will be sent out by Wine Australia.
An invoice will be sent to agents or wineries (amount depending on what was specified in the registration form).
Outreach for the seminar will be done directly to suppliers/agents/wineries.
Trade invitations are sent out.
An event information email will be sent out by Wine Australia prior to the event with load-in and -out information.

About Toronto Trade Tasting 2019
Guests will walk into the main floor with their glass and detailed tasting booklet. They will choose a starting point in the room and taste from table to table. Wine Australia staff will be on hand to expand upon regional education. Agents and principals will stand at the tables or walk about the room to speak to their wines. There will be some ‘somm’s choice’ focus tables represented by Toronto sommeliers from a recent visit to Australia.
As many as possible depending on wine submissions. We typically represent 20-30 regions at tastings of this size. Moving to this new format means we will hopefully grow that number as well as showcase many more examples from some smaller regions.
- A diverse submission of wines (and vintages) is requested because the more regions we can represent, the better the education for guests.
- Wineries can own a full table, or agents can share a table between multiple wineries. 8 is the maximum number of SKUs at a full table.
