Connect with producers, taste wines seeking distribution, discover the latest releases and explore new opportunities

From 28 wineries in 2013 to 61 wineries in 2023, the Wine Australia stand at ProWein has grown significantly over the last decade. This year’s stand – in a new hall and location (Hall 14, B10) – is 50 per cent bigger than our last stand planned for 2020.

With more than 700 wines, 61 winery booths, 6 regional booths, 11 master classes and an Australian Wine Bar, our stand is the place to be at ProWein. We also have a barista – it’s a nod to Australia’s sophisticated coffee culture and a good excuse for you to stay and talk for a bit longer.

Explore Australia’s unique regions, from the iconic to the lesser known, from Barossa Valley, Yarra Valley and Margaret River, to Orange, Pyrenees and Pemberton. The wine line-up features 46 different grape varieties, from classics like Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon to alternatives such as Assyrtiko, Barbera, Saperavi, Vermentino and Zibibbo.

Over the three days, 11 master classes will take place in the new education area on the stand. Topics include Wines made in Victoria: Home of Australian wine diversity with winemaker Meg Brodtmann MW, Wines your dad didn't drink: Riverland with winemaker Jim Markeas and A once in a decade Clare Valley Riesling vintage with wine critic Stuart Pigott. Please see more details in the program below.

Don’t forget to stop by our Australian Wine Bar. Hosted by the Wine Australia team, you’ll make new discoveries, taste regional diversity and hear the stories behind the wines. The wines at this free-pour wine bar are the same as the wines in our master classes, so if you miss a master class, there’s another chance to try them.

Some producers are returning to ProWein to showcase new releases and the latest vintages, such as d’Arenberg, Jim Barry Wines, Voyager Estate and Tyrrell’s, whilst others are new to the Wine Australia stand and to ProWein. Mitolo Wines, Mino & Co Wines, Blue Pyrenees Estate, Mr Riggs Wine Co. and Coonawarra Wines are some of the producers new on our stand for 2023.

Also for the first time, there will be six regional booths – South Australia, Riverland, Victoria, Yarra Valley, New South Wales and Margaret River. Dive into the regions, discover iconic names and exciting start-ups, and meet the regional heads such as Caroline Evans (Chief Executive Officer, Wine Yarra Valley), Stephanie Duboudin (Chief Executive Officer, Wine Victoria), Lyndall Rowe (Executive Officer, Riverland Wine) and Amanda Whiteland (Chief Executive Officer, Margaret River Wine Association).

The list of exhibitors and the floor plan for the Wine Australia stand is available here.
