ProWine China is China’s leading international trade fair for wine and spirits, jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf Group and Food and Hospitality China (FHC).
This year (2020) marks Wine Australia’s sixth year participating in ProWine China and the scale of the exhibition continues to grow, with last year’s number of visitors increasing by 9 per cent compared to the previous year. The three-day trade show now attracts more than 20,000 importers, distributors, suppliers and media from across China.
Australian wine took centre stage at ProWine China 2019. The pavilion hosted 61 Australian wine exhibitors and showcased over 100 brands from 25 regions, including a dedicated education space within the pavilion. Additionally, Australian wine was promoted through three forum room master classes and six on-pavilion master classes based on topical Australian Wine Discovered modules, presented by well-respected Chinese wine educators. Proactive PR activity and the WeChat mini program further amplified the Australian wine message.
Wine Australia will bring a similar presence to ProWine China 2020, with the support of the Australian Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package.
